GenEnergy is a firm supporter of renewable green energy and sustainable building practices. We have actively sought partners that subscribe to the use of sustainable building practices and materials together with new energy efficient composite materials. We see this as a cornerstone of building the next generation in sustainable communities now and into the future.

GenConsolidated identified the opportunity of significant energy cost savings in the development of medium and higher density land lease developments. To that end GenEnergy was established as a complementary entity to provide end to end solutions for both the developer and consumers in an effort to achieve zero emissions and substantially ameliorate development headwork costs.

Our partnership strategy is focused on owning the embedded or microgrid network at each land lease community including the batteries and solar panels and in effect becoming an energy wholesaler. This structure would deliver to consumers an energy cost saving on comparable electricity tariffs of circa 50%. Government subsidies are also available for the solar power units but not for the battery pack options. The batteries however can be included as part of a consumer’s solar power installation. GenEnergy would also include options of EV charging points to garages and multi-use fast charging stations to community public areas within LLC communities and even the provision of pooled shared EV vehicles.

Our Energy Vision

GenEnergy sees in time that microgrids, solar/battery and EV vehicles forming an important part of GenConsolidated’ overall corporate strategy.  

GenEnergy’ microgrid advantages include:

  • The possible reduction in a developer’s headworks costs by as much as 60%. A 200-400 community development wouldn’t need a distribution transformer. A medium size battery with solar replaces that cost.

  • The redesign of community developments to have medium sized battery for onsite storage with solar panels to all roofs.

  • No capital cost to developers or consumers. GenEnergy owns all solar and battery infrastructure i.e., our own embedded micro grid.

  • GenEnergy sells electricity to community consumers at up to 50% of current energy cost tariffs.

  • GenEnergy sells surplus to the battery into the grid.

  • An opportunity to use water created by solar panels for community garden irrigation.

  • Installation of slow charge EV plates in every consumer’s garage.

  • Installation of fast charge EV stations in the public or common area of community developments.

  • Provide a pool of EV Vehicles for use by community owners.

  • GenEnergy forms part of GenConsolidated’ zero emission strategy.
